About Us

Sierra Molds LLC was founded to provide customers with world class injection mold tooling and to support their transition to a new, international tool supplier.  After working 35 years in the Automotive Industry for an OEM, we decided to partner with our leading supplier of injection mold tooling to help them find new customers and grow their business.                    

As a mechanical engineer for a major OEM, I gained experience working as a product engineer, manufacturing engineer, forward programs engineer as well an engineering manager.  Over the last 25 years of my career I was involved in specifying, sourcing and validating new injection mold tooling.  In the early 2000's we were challenged with being less vertically integrated and to pursue global sources for our injection mold tools.  After vetting numerous suppliers one of them rose to the top and provided us the optimal balance between cost, quality, delivery & customer support.  Over the course of 20 years I purchased 25 million dollars worth of injection molds from this supplier and successfully launched them into production.
